We found a house!

This is a busy time of the year in the mountains but we managed to find a house that will fit us all!
It has 3 floors, 3600 square feet, right near a fishing pond, including air hockey table.  And as always, lots of porch space with rocking chairs!!!

As we had discussed as a group last year, we scheduled to do one more service day so we begin service on Thursday, October 9.  Service days will be Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday.

For our family, it just seemed to make more sense to go ahead and rent the house for a week.  So we are renting from Monday, October 6 to Monday, October 13.  The total cost of this rental is $1890.  We have broken that down per 7 nights to $270 per night.  Divided by 16 people, that comes to $17 per person per night.

If you'd like to jump in for all 7 nights, you're welcome.  If you can't, just come for the nights you can!  Please let us know how many nights you want and plan on $17 per night.

2014 Assignment is in!!!

We have received our assignment!!  

We will be going to 

Watauga County, NC

and our service days are 

October 9, 10, 11, 12

This area is just south of Boone and close to the resort areas of Banner Elk and Blowing Rock.

This is the first year it has been on the unassigned list so we are hoping to find some sheep-like ones!

As mentioned in the original email, we are planning for four service days but are also going to attempt to rent the house for the entire week to provide some much needed R&R.  Anyone in the group is welcome during that time or if you would just like to meet us for the special service, that will be fine also.  

Right now, I am looking for a rental house that will accommodate our group.  I am presently looking to rent from Monday the 6 until Monday the 13.  Will be sure to send out info as soon as an appropriate place is found.

Please check your calendars and mark the dates down.  If anyone has a conflict, please let me know as soon as possible.
