Trip to Remember!

What a wonderful trip it was!  Thanks to everyone for making the effort to get out there, work hard in service, cook lots of yummy meals and help make this trip successful.  It really was something we will never forget.  Hopefully we will be able to do it again soon!

So in case you missed it...here are our totals for 2 1/2 days of service:
17 pub
195 hours
127 mags
18 books
3 bro
3 rvs
3 studies

It's safe to say that we truly offered a shout of praise to Jehovah in the midst of his beautiful creation!
I'm posting the pics we came back with.  If anyone has some to add, email them to me.  If you want copies of any, let me know.
Love you all!!!!!

DIRECTIONS TO CABIN

Here We Go!
ok everyone...it's less than a week;)  Are you ready?  Just thought we'd add a few things to help us all get there.

The house is available to us starting at 3pm Thursday.  We are planning to get there sometime in the afternoon and take a quick drive through our territory to get our bearings.  As listed, I'll have dinner available but many will not make it out there before the meeting.  So just be safe and get there when you can;)

Again, the address to the house is
130 Seymour Ayers Drive, Green Mountain, NC, 28740
Go towards Burnsville.
Before Burnsville turn RIGHT on NC197.  Go approx 6.2 miles and you’ll turn right onto Upper Pig Pen Road.  * Take this for approx two miles turning left after dead ending past the little bridge, staying on Upper Pig Pen Rd. Take this for approx 2/3rds of a mile turning left on Letterman Road. Go approx 2/10ths of a mile staying right at the Y  (there is a long row of mailboxes on the right and as soon as you start down that road there is a sign on the left that says "Davis Cabin.") on Ayers Mountian Road, go approx 2/3rds of a mile staying to the left at the remaining Y’s (following the paved road, and then turn left when you dead end, onto Seymour Ayers Road.  (This is where the gravel road starts)  Go to the top and end of the road, to the log cabin with a red roof.

The owners mention that cell service is spotty near the house but we are welcome to use the landline.
The house phone number is  828 536-4444.
A few have asked...we do NOT need to bring sheets or towels but the owners DO recommend bringing extra beach towels for the hot tub.

Other Things to Do

Just so that everyone has plenty of options, we have also included links to two different activities in the county besides whitewater rafting.  The prices for rafting are a bit high for us but we may use Monday to explore the caves or go prospecting for gold!  There are also waterfalls in the county to see and plenty of hiking.  We have been given a little more time to check out of the house...checkout is now 12 pm.  So if you'd like to just sleep in and relax, there's that option too!
